Airline Discounts
Sisters traveling from other cities must make airline reservations on your own. Sisters traveling from Houston are encouraged to contact Southwest Airlines at (800) 435-9792 (Houston Hobby to Chicago Midway Airport) or Continental Airlines at (800) 523-3273 (Houston Intercontinental to Chicago O'Hare Airport).
Airport Shuttles
The Oak Brook Marriott Hotel is located 45 minutes from Chicago's O'Hare Airport and 20 minutes from Chicago's Midway Airport. Airport Shuttles are not available. Taxi service is available for a nominal fee.
Auto Rentals
If you need a rental car for any reason during your stay, several rental agencies are available within the area including: Budget (800-283-4384); Avis (800- 331-1212); Enterprise (800-736-8222);
and Alamo (800-327-9633).
Restaurants
Lunch on Friday is on your own and great dining and entertainment is closer than you think! Located adjacent to the Oak Brook Marriott Hotel lobby is "1401 West" serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner; and Starbucks Cafe for our serious coffee drinkers. Treat yourself to a great meal in the restaurant.
For more eateries within the hotel vicinity, visit: Braxton Seafood Grill, Maggianos, The Cheesecake Factory, The Club House, Tuscany, Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar, Kentucky Fried Chicken, and many restaurants located within the Oak Brook Mall. A complimentary hotel shuttle within a 3-mile radius is available to guests.
Shopping and Boutiques
Chicago is known worldwide for its fine stores and great malls. The Oak Brook Mall is located directly across the street from the Oak Brook Marriott Hotel. A complimentary hotel shuttle is available for those desiring extra assistance.
Resource Tables
Every sister is encouraged to stop by the Resource Tables and purchase several books for your library. Every workshop has recommended reading and those books, along with other Christian books of encouragement and empowerment, can be found on our Resource Tables or purchased in advance at any Christian bookstore.
